About Us

Established in 2001 by owners Kelly Commander and Derek Commander, Command Construction Industries embarked on its inaugural project in St. Bernard for the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development on Patricia Street. Since its inception, Command has undertaken a myriad of projects, catering to both public and private clients throughout Louisiana.

The entire Commander family now works in the construction industry with Christian Commander and Cory Commander both taking on roles in Command Construction as Operations Manager and Controller respectively. Both LSU graduates, Christian has a Construction Management degree and Cory continued his LSU education at Southeastern earning an Executive MBA.

Command Construction Industries proudly stands as a woman-owned enterprise and in 2018, Madeline Commander (LSU Civil Engineering graduate) bought the safety division from Command Construction and started Traffic Commander.  Traffic Commander specializes in traffic control devices, guardrail, permanent and temporary signs and cable barrier installation.
