Command entered into a contract back in October of 2015 with the Port of New Orleans. The contract calls for the removal and replacement of broken concrete roadway panels. Command is tasked with replacing 219 panels along the roadway.
Scott Kuepferle is the Project Manager overseeing this project. According to Mr. Kuepferle a particular challenge of this project has been the limited working schedule required by the Port (Friday from 6pm to Monday 5am).
This type of time-frame puts a burden on other projects that are being constructed during our normal business hours. With the guidance of our Operations Manager (Gene Abadie), we have created a module where our crews only have to pull one shift on each weekend while still maintaining our production rates. Also, with the helpful input of project supervisors, Whitney Dupre and Steve Rosentreter, our operations have surpassed our goals, and Command finished this project in only 60% of the contract time frame. Our partnering vendors and suppliers also deserve praise, as extra attention has been needed in performing this type of project.
